Let Go

If it’s okay with those of you reading, I’d like to skip the part where I write a lengthy intro apologizing for how long it’s been since my last blog post. I am sorry, but history clearly shows that consistent blogging just might not be my bread and butter. Moving on…

A great deal of things have changed in my life since my last entry. My “2017 Goals” haven’t necessarily changed, but more so my approach to achieving them. One thing that has stayed consistent, though, is my commitment to letting go of the things and people that do not contribute to my happiness or growth. I’m talkin’ anything from negative thoughts to negative bosses. I was simply just tired of feeling bad about myself or my situation at the time, so I made the decision to well, just...not.

So naturally I thought that this would be a great opportunity to test out my poetry skillz, and create something focused on releasing the negative energy in your life. Hope you enjoy. XO

Let Go by Misako Envela

Let go of the idea that there’s only one path to achieving your dream.

Let go of the idea that you’re only entitled to one dream.

Let go of letting fear rule your life.

Let go of friends that don’t encourage you to rise to your full potential.

Let go of negative practices and behaviors that do not contribute to you reaching that potential.

Let go of believing that you don’t deserve to live the life you’ve always dreamed of.

Let go of believing that you are incapable of manifesting that same life.

Let go of trying to live a life without pain and failure.

Let go of not learning the valuable lesson you are intended to learn from said pain and failure.

Let go of positions under people that would rather ridicule and embarrass you, rather than inspire and empower you.

Let go of trying to fit a certain mold.

Let go of trying to find a certain mold to fit.

Let go of the idea that it’s selfish to put yourself first.

Let go of the notion that if you’re not the best at something then it’s not worth doing.

Let go of thinking that good people don’t still exist in the world.

Let go of thinking that true love doesn’t still exist in the world.

Let go of only looking for love from other people rather than from within.

Let go of anything and everything that doesn’t allow your soul to soar.

Let go of the idea that letting go always means that you’ve lost something.

Let go.
